Renault Alpine rebody / registering in France

I think it looks good and so is the finish.
My question is, how do they get it registered in France?

I have a friend who lives in France and would like to build a 250swb but doesn't think he would be able to get it registered in France.
Does anyone know if it is possible?

It's basically a rebodied Smart Roadster, do they even refuse registering that in France?
