Thanks for pointing that out Scottie. I was being, um, ironic. :)

Scottie22 1st December 2014 21:36

I know that Towed, it was my attempt at humour!

Looks like I failed!!

Mister Towed 2nd December 2014 07:17

Me too. :)

Replacement front end for MX5 similar to the pit crew one? Cannot add a pic right now, but will later

That's interesting, and not unlike an MX5 with an SWB front. Why not ask Chris for a quote to customise your car. It would be a unique vehicle.

Tribute Automotive 3rd December 2014 21:24

I would like to build this for me:

Mister Towed 3rd December 2014 21:36

Or how about -

Correct.

One day Mr T.

Mister Towed 4th December 2014 07:57

I've always been a fan of the high performance estate concept and would've loved a Lancia HPE Volumex when I was younger. After all, it was good enough for the Brady Bunch -

oxford1360 4th December 2014 08:51

The HPE is probably the best car I ever owned from a combined performance/looks/practicality viewpoint.

and rusted away before ever needing and MOT

;-)

I quite like this model

DSG4ME 4th December 2014 12:05

I quite like both models. ;-)

Scottie22 4th December 2014 13:07

At first I didn't spot the car WCA!

Mister Towed 4th December 2014 13:14

What car?

WorldClassAccident 4th December 2014 13:41

You Guys!
How hard could it be?

Well, one of my favourite build threads turned one of these:

Last time I was down at Chris's place there was a scruffy Ford Ranger parked outside...

Mister Towed 4th December 2014 16:04

That's quite a transformation, it must've taken a helluva lotta work to turn that thirties art-deco streamliner into a pickup.

http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps92a7a6e2.png

Love both the streamliner and the fifties Chevy btw. :)

I find myself spending a lot of time looking at Land Rover 110 and 130 donors.

How hard is it to lower their suspension?

Scottie has a Jag engine going spare, that should fit I guess.

If I get a body milled in polystyrene can you take a mould from it?

Scottie22 4th December 2014 22:32

Bloody hell Nick, you can't be serious!

If your other half finds out, you could end up like John Bobbit!
I'd be careful if I was you!

WorldClassAccident 5th December 2014 09:27

I will paint it black and hopefully she will mistake it for one of the other two black cars

It's as if it's invisible.
Or you could hide it behind the Jacuzzi?

It looks as if she's twigged and is watching you through the curtains

landmannnn 5th December 2014 12:33

She might have something to say about the young lady in the black dress though.

Always really liked the pit crew front end, but they are rare. I might just do what you suggest. Need to wait until the new year though...

Scottie22 5th December 2014 13:51

Friday

Right now, I don't want Cris to build me anything, as I have my hands full at present, however, I bet a lot of people would like him to build a Pitcrew conversion kit for the MX5.

Should not be too much of a problem as apparently Pitcrew are now no longer trading.

Any existing front ends are fetching stupid money as they are so rare.
How about it Chris?

How about some of these Jap concept cars:

This last one has got to be the easiest.

DSG4ME 6th December 2014 07:54

What about a BMW Z3 based California Spyder similar to the one in the "Ferris Beuller Day Off" movie. I´m sure many would like one.

fatbloke 6th December 2014 16:38

Look what you can get at your local Shell garage, a Lego GTO.

zagmad 6th December 2014 17:38

Hi dsg4me. Just wonderd if you could transfer the grill from a Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 on to a Maserati a6g/54 front view. Not sure how it would look and don't have the skills that you do. Thanks if its possible.

DSG4ME 7th December 2014 09:43

Hi there zagmad. Is this what you are looking for ?

http://oi58.tinypic.com/svjt3q.jpg

The 2001 Chrysler Sebring has a Ferrari-ish modedrn style grill similar to this one.

zagmad 7th December 2014 10:32

Hmmm. I think the bonnet needs to be wider so it guides your eye to the width of the grill and er slighty longer towards the headlights. Other than that i think it should work.

zagmad 7th December 2014 13:32

How bout a db4 mk1 front view with this grill.

DSG4ME 8th December 2014 11:24

It doesn´t look too bad on the Aston but it would look a lot better on an AM DB4 Zagato.

I suspect Chris may have enough to do at the minute, but thought I'd put this up anyway.
Bob.

Can't quite work out yet, how to put pictures straight on here.
