The alloy panelling makes a very nice job of the bulkhead/engine bay.

Hi Dale,

I like how your Formosa is turning out. I am also thinking about the interior for my Miglia and the more I look at alloy panels, the more I like the look of them.

Thanks again for your reply regarding the master brake cylinder.

Cheers, Deni

I'd be grateful for some more details on how everything is supported, attached, etc.
( As I never got around to making inner front arches for my car. )

Cheers, Paul. :)

Hi Paul the inner wheel arches have a L shape bracket in 2 places to keep the shape. the intake is riveted to the bonnet mounts up to the rad mounts the rest is just all riveted to that, just lots of templates and folding and riveting and a little bit of luck that they fit. The inner wheel arches off the bulkhead was a pig to do, as there is 4 or 5 shapes to do to get it to fit. I am hoping to hide all the wiring so it looks clean under the bonnet. Next job is side pipes for the car ?!! but all on hold off to Cyprus for 3 week leave next week

Back arches done I have made them with 14 in mudguards that fit in just right just need a bit of trimming to fit I will glue them in and fiberglass the backs they will be clad in aluminium so no wood will be seen the boot will be the same and I got the wiring done the engine runs and the lights work just got overdrive to do when parts turn up and a impact switch for the fuel pump

Paul L 23rd June 2019 08:45

Glad to hear the fire missed your house/car.

As I know of one builder in the USA who was not so lucky.

Before:

During:

After:

Although he actually feels very lucky to be alive, as he was in the garage when the fire started!

So, let’s be careful out there.

Cheers, Paul. :)
