Input Needed - 250 SWB Front Clip Crooked

Hey Gents,

As I slowly trod along with completing my 250 SWB build I was wondering if anyone has run into this issue. I recently completed a Z4 rear hub conversion and have bolted up my dished knock off wire wheels. Walking around the car I noticed that one front wheel stuck out further than the other leading me to believe my front clip is crooked. To my knowledge my donor Z3 has never been in any accidents so I am not sure what the cause is. I welcome all input as well as any ideas on remediation for this. Cheers

Make measurements from a datum point to check side to side if any thing is out of line

could It be the flip front moulding out of line????

There is a fair bit of adjustment where the front end bolts to the hinges. You could adjust it out there and then attend to door gap issues that might create.

Yeah I was going to see if I could measure from the center of my strut tower to the side of the bonnet opening on each side to see if that tells me anything. Good point!

Yeah good point. I was looking at that but am afraid I may need a bit more adjustment than the bolt openings will allow. I may adjust it as far as it will go and will just be happy with it there. Cheers

Try pushing it back on the passenger side and pulling it forward on the drivers side. It won't need much, a few mm, at the hinge end but it will make a big difference at the front of the car.
