Smiths Tacho Wiring Help

Hi all,

I've picked up a nice Smith's 10k tacho second hand, but unfortunately there's no indication of how it needs wiring up. I know it's a voltage one not an old current one, but I'm a bit wary of just trying different combinations in case I fry it!

It's an RVC1004, I've taken some pictures and put them here: http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/431573854

Or, alternatively, does anyone know how I could work out the wiring with a multimeter?

Cheers,

Adam

Hi Adam.

Is this link any good to you?

Nearly... I found that page, and thought I'd cracked it, but it only lists the terminals by number, and mine doesn't have numbers on the back. Thanks for posting it anyhow.

I have just managed to sort it out though, I found a guy selling reconditioned gauges on ebay, including one just like mine, so I phoned him up on the off chance - you don't ask, you don't get - and he was happy to tell me what went where, he knew off the top of his head. Nice!

I might see if the guy who runs the site above wants to include the info.
