congratulations on getting your speedo working, I did say in an earlier post that I thought it was a reed switch. This type of sensor is pretty rare I think most being inductive type. Brian

The only way to go is hydraulic, I retrofitted hydraulic clutch to mine which was a bit of a pain working under the dash. I used 620 master and standard slave.

Looking at the piccies I think your problem might be the lower stabiliser rod. I would expect it to be insulated at one end at least with rubber. Disconnect and see if problem dissapears.

I understood that the turbo model used 220 driveshafts, turbo or normally aspirated are the same I think....
