Where is your ECU mounted. Is it just underneath the scuttle but on top of the chassis? Just trying to assess options instead of cutting an oversize hole in the bulkhead to feed the loom through.

Needs a bit more investigation but I obtained a gearshift linkage from an E36 which has the same gearbox. It is much shorter than the e39 one which results in the gearchange being further forward...
