The red is BMW Chilli Red, as used on their Mini's I believe. The silver powder coating was described as titanium by my powder coater.

Thanks for your help guys.
They have a Mk 3 version available so have gone for that one. Seems pretty straightforward to wire in and calibrate. Will be sure to post progress!
