I'm with Slangenracing, mount the front plate on the lower lip of the mouth: perhaps you could use an NA-series MX5 rubber piece?

That's not carbs, that's Lucas Petrol Injection. Originally from the TR5/6 and PI saloons, someone has fitted it to a Vitesse in this case.

I've sold/bought a few cars since December. On one it took six or seven weeks to receive confirmation of change in ownership. I was really worried but sometimes there seem to be delays.

205s can be squeezed onto 5.5J rims but they're an awful fit - the beading is really strained, particularly so on wires, as they tend to have more flex anyway.

205s are really best suited to rims...
