Must admit I haven't tried as to whether the OE Arms fit onto the spindle extensions (got some of them and did the M8 nut trick some time ago)...

Ive done mine utilising the MX5's filler tube... Cut the plastic flexible pipe, added a length of steel (just because 48mm fuel resistant pipe appears to be rocking horse poo), extended the overfill...

I'm going for black acoustic carpet on mine, bonded direct to the clam with high temperature spray adhesive.
It's a standard method for carpeting out vans.

I got an m8 connector bolt, welded a short length...

I got an m8 connector bolt, welded a short length of stud on, then filed the protruding end to fit the landy spindle. Will get pics tomorrow

It should hydrochrome. That stuff goes on like glass cleaner. Not that expensive, but really convincing. Needs lacquering though as unless you buy the automotive grade stuff (many ££s), it's not UV...
