Trying to avoid that at all costs! Ace reckons his solution works OK having tried it (see his build thread!) and so we've looked at a similar route, plus we have a plan B, both of which appear to give a continuous fall to the BMW filler neck.
Won't know for sure of course until we test it with a fill but taking the tank out and modifying it would be a very big deal!
