Small but important progress, 99% rebuilt chassis and engine ready to go back to the warehouse where my body in stored.
I can now start on making the metal framework to sit inside the body. This will give extra strength as well as anchor points for seat belts etc. I can see this as being a rather frustrating task, mainly because I'm fitting it in whilst its upside down and with no floor in. Doing it this way allows me to make pre welded sections and insert them into place easier and keeps inside the car welding to a minimum. Overhead welding in awkward places is not my strong point.
Old age and failing eye sight doesn't help either
Still have lots to do before the body gets fitted to the chassis and lots after too, but I am really enjoying the challenges..... so far.
