The original bumpers were made in two halves and welded together. They have a lip running lengthwise which is used to fasten the rubber strip. This would make producing a mould very complex.

It may be why the likes of Deon produced these plain bumpers which would be much easier to make.

Yes, although I must admit I prefer the one's I have which stop short of the grill.
