had a good couple of week on the car. was fed up of removing and replacing bonnet on and off car so decided to fit my bonnet locks, and pins.trimmed edge of bonnet sides thoroughly fit in body aperture. I am going to hinge the bonnet at the front, but I am currently having problems with the bonnet leading edge catching as it is raised. I am experimenting with fitting springs on the hinge mounting bolts to initially raise bonnet just prior to opening. I only want someway of lifting the bonnet to check levels etc, without lifting the bonnet off every time.
