You could always use the TVR trick


Drill holes in the floor to aid drainage!

Not as stupid as it sounds, I have 5 z3's on the drive and they all have varying amounts of water in the front floorpans, unlike older cars there is quite a bit of electrics under the floor.
The way the foam is bonded to the underside of the front carpets, you won't realise you have a problem until it is about 3" deep.
