Been doing a bit of research on this one and it doesn't look like JLR actually have the C-Type design registered in the UK, which is probably why they fought their copyright case in more design focused Sweden.
In fact, when JLR tried to register their historic Series 1, 2, 3 and Defender mudplugger shapes in the UK in 2019 to try to stop a French company from building something similar their application was rejected, partly on the basis that it was
' filed in bad faith. so it's likely that an application to protect the C-Type design would go the same way if challenged -

I did find quite a few expired protected designs for Jaguar cars while I was looking for the C-Type, including this one -

...so I guess it's fair game to copy that particular shape if you wish
