I'd probably go old-skool with a copper cored radiator if I built another rather than modern alloy. Can't remember which thread it was on but I believe someone far more qualified than I raised a very good point about the thermal conduction qualities of copper being far superior to aluminium in transferring heat from water to air.
My shiny alloy Honda Civic Type R racing rad might look cool (pun fully intended) but it definitely isn't as efficient as Phil's Ford RS 2000 jobby time-warped in from the 70's.
