I cant believe the time and effort it is taking to make these door mechanism's, this is the first effort to make the striker pins but they wouldn't lock something to do with the bends I think?

I ended up with this but will probably change them as I may catch my clothes on them.

my tool maker friend Paul R turned the handle spindles for me

I have welded the lugs on with a 5mm thick washer as a bearing

and it will look like this when finished

as the doors only have a single hinge they tend to drop a bit (lot) so I have to make some sort of alignment thingy??
I am considering doing a Scottie on the boot lid and have marked it out ready for cutting Pros more usable boot space moor manageable boot lid and easer to make a locking system. Cons an awful lot of work
