Don't know if this is too late but have been on holiday for the past week.
The spacers are 12mm thick and I have used pvc plastic for the rings, this bring it just enough to give you the space to get the rings on.
I also had to drill a hole in the bottom of the light bucket on the car to be able to put screw in, as the lights that I have got have got the diamond shape and a P700 badge in them so screw is on bottom of lights as you put them together.
