No direct experience , however I have read enough to know it can be both difficult and expensive to try and get an old Kit Car through the BIVA.

This has stopped me buying a incorrectly registered NG TA as it is not practical to get it passed the test.

The consensus seems to be read the manual [ all 330+ pages of it ] till you can quote it off by heart - then build your car.

This is the reason the vast majority of Kit Cars on the UK market are simple re-bodies of a existing chassis/monocoque so sidestepping the BIVA.

Good luck with your build , and keep the pictures coming

regards Paul
