As strange as it may seem i can understand it now. I guess it depends in which context you look at it.

For example, my initial reaction was to compare it to what i am familiar with, for example if i were to sell a 911 carrera 4s, in this market that would achieve 10 - 15k depending on options which in my initial view is obviously better value.

However in reality thats a completely unfair comparison, what i should have thought is how much would i have to pay to get a similar experience, i.e an open top no compromise classic car from that era or close?

The reality is, in my area the closest match is an austin healey 3000 which is for sale at 45k. Looking at it this way i do find it easier to understand.

I still feel the quality could have been better, but obviously the new owner wasn't put off by this.
