[QUOTE=GreatOldOne;24134There's a lot more feel in the pedal to my mind - you know how much braking effort is going in from the position of the pedal, not the muscles on your leg bulging under the strain.

That's exactly how mine feels atm. Its like pressing on a brick wall....

So - it looks like I will be going that way. Just have to find someone with them is stock. I wonder who ACTUALLY makes them.....

May be a bulk purchase could be arranged to get a better deal - even from USA?

Well, could this be the manufacturer?

http://www.mbmbrakeboosters.com/

I downloaded their Catalogue and I'm still drooling. It makes me want to build a hot rod!!
Just take a look at all the adaptors and things !!

Their Technical manual is also quite interesting bedtime reading.....

Count me in for a universal adaptor plate please. Also for a 3/8 UNF clevis too.

To echo Peterux’s comments a big thank you to Jason & Mike for such rapid progress in evaluating this excellent and much needed upgrade. Peter.

We do not seem to have reached many of the existing earlier Sportster owners? I will try to contact the Membership Secretary and the Sportster committe member to see if they will allow us to contact existing owners direct.
There will not be many Cabrio owners, as most have fitted Ford (some BMW M20) engines, and will have been able to utilise the bigger standard Ford servo.

Madabout contributors who might (?) be interested:
MSportster (Patrick)
Morris (Ian)
Glen

.......any others?

Are people happy to source their own clevis? I am happy to source a job lot and post at cost if the interest is there?

I was up until 2.30am on Sunday night looking at Hot rods and Rat rods* on Youtube. They just look so much fun.

My favourite : 1923 Ford T- bucket in Black. Adams family style.

* - (same but the bodywork/chassis is deliberately left rusty) .

Those cars are just insane! One guy just put it in to gear at tick-over and spun his wheels up - on tick-over!!!!
