Default e36 m50 engine loom

If anyone could tell me what the 3 relays on the main loom are for and part numbers I would value this,as one of mine is missing from the loom. Thanks.

Not sure if it's the same as an E30 loom, but I had the same issue with mine - a missing relay. This was due to my donor not having a cat / O2 sensor, as the missing relay was for that.

So, if you have no cat, it's entirely possible you don't need the relay.

I've found the following website really useful as it has all the BMW wiring diagrams on it:

http://www.autolib.diakom.ru/CARS2/index.html

Its a Russian website (!) but is fairly easy to navigate your way to the wiring diagrams:
1. Select BMW from the list on the left
2. Choose the 3rd option in the top window
3. Select the 2nd option in the next window down (Mitchell on-demand)

You'll then get a choice of model year, model and you can then select 'wiring diagram'. You'll then be able to see all the various wiring diagrams.

Enjoy & good luck!
