When I first started whittling the original ''German '' Sammio , my heavy influence at that time of the 550's and early Porsches led me down the fenderskirt route ...
The rear of your car lends itself perfectly to a set of skirts ...I don't think it works with the current front end styling ...just my two cents worth ...not a criticism of your efforts ..

Wow, the prehistory of the Sammio brand. Thanks for sharing that pic Gary, it's a fascinating insight into the development process.
Do you have any other early pics of your prototypes? I for one would love to see them...

Hmm, that roof's quite something to behold, I'm not surprised you went topless.
Shame the suicide doors went too though, were they functional?

They were but pretty basic , they did work but weren't great ...that body ended up being cut so much and depth , width , length added that I made the decision to go with no doors for simplicity ...it was originally only going to be a few bodies to build a half dozen or so , maybe and to sell as completed vehicles ..
Apologies for hijacking your thread Michael one moment ...

I'd missed Dave-Gate! But it does back up my long held belief that most of the people on this Forum seem to be called Dave!
And for those that hadn't figured it out from my username, yup I'm a Welshman.

Dave is a great name - even for a cardboard box.

My own favourite American Burger chain is Carl's Junior. When I was based at the US Marine Corps air station in Yuma, AZ, back in the 90's I practically lived on 99c Famous Big Stars (and a sh*t load of Burritos). They also have the best fast-food advertising slogan ever (at the end of this ad) -
