Heard they wanted to be able to present a fully ready version for stoneleigh and a preview in Detling.
I know the moulds for the hood and for the rear are done and first pieces have been made from those moulds.
Though the first one is being painted as we speak.
pricing something like this must be hard.
It all depends on the number that will be produced.
Wouldn't want to make that excise.
Regards, Koen

I asked ages ago when I was looking and was told the price wasn't set yet but he was lookig at aroun £4,500 for the panels only. It seemed steep to me and no news on the delivery led me to do my own thing withthe Z300S (or rather get Chris to do it)

£4500? they be lucky to sell a single kit! anything over £2k is over priced
in my opinion. maybe £2.5k at a push!

Hey, does anyone know of any Z3 interior trim *options* to hide away the BMW branding and give a more classic look...

Naw - you can look and laugh at my build thread. I am just starting on the interior.
Z3 is currently th 300S Maserati ready now, the 250SWB and Aston in progress I think.
I am currently trying to get the history of models, dates and numbers for the Tribute Automotive Owners Clubs

I think MrTowed's comment about my car are mostly right regarding the windscreen size and shapet bu it's position is more of the problem for authentic looks I think.
The comparison picture below shows the three main problem areas labelled A, B & C. Cutting the screen off would only address the point C, the hieght.
The distance between the back of the front wheel and the front of the door opening (A) compared to the length of the door opening (B) are almost reversed on the BMW and the Maserati.
I guess you could cut the screen off, extend the bonnet backwards, bond the doors shut and cut new smaller ones etc but it does get away from the idea of a quick and simple car modification and you lose the practicality. Remember I am using this car as oine of my daily drivers.

And another Cobra replica with a slightly modern touch from Fii Roadsters.
The company slogan is "a tribute to the past" !!!

Hmm not convinced by Fii Roadsters, that diffuser/spoiler thing looks like the automotive equivalent of a ghotee beard on the face of a pretty girl. It might be progressive, but I wouldn't want to be seen with it.

The 4'' x 2'' sills don't do it for me either.

I agree any additions need to work with the period of the car.

if the skirts were to work with the shape of the side profile and the front splitter was turned into a feature that would of bin on cars back then or done in sections below the wing and below the nose. to help work with the period curves. eg small bumper bars that have a slightly sharper profile to catch the wind and pull the front down.

The front end isn't positioned correctly in these pictures, and I will be modifying the front valance area to give some more depth and balance with the sill.
