I think with two fans I should be fine although Iwill be adding some ducting before the body goes on.

Yep, it is at the rear of the axle, so unbolts and comes out the bottom. The fuel gauge is facing rearwards too so easy to get to.

Hi Dave your car is finished and i have taken it to the other unit for you.

Also i have repaired a couple areas that needed welding for you mate. On the house.

I remember building that blue car, looks good dave. Your lomax also looks nice , need an extra wheel mate..

Weekend update.....

Got hold of a Spitfire MKIV heater matrix and fan and made up a mounting for it. It is a lot slimmer than the Herald one and so I don't need to cut it up or modify it.

Started to panel out the bulkhead and centre tunnel - the front parts will be removable so I can get to the clutch slave cylinder and propshaft bolts in the future.

Then took it all apart and resin and painted all the panels and frame...

Then plumbed in all the engine with the radiator and header tank mounted. The header is out of 1600 Vitesse and looks period. I had one in my Sammio Spyder and this one I managed to grab on ebay.

Made up the hinge point for the seats so I could get the seating position right and it is very comfortable. Even the pedals and gearstick are in the right position!

Got hold of some 50mm diameter nylon and got a friend of mine to turn me up a rather nice roller throttle pedal .... it's a bit different and reminds me of some VW Beetles I had where I put a skateboard wheel on as a throttle pedal.

So a bit more progress made.

Should be getting my body next week so I will do a trial fit and then if everything is okay I will start to get the wiring in and get the engine running!

Looking a top job Tony.
It is always nice to make the effort at this stage i think.

I like the header tank , i think its nice to use period items on your build as it can
still confuse the general public on the cars origins and keep them guessing.

Keep up the great work mate.

Tony - It looks like you are well on your way to building another very nice car.

Hope the trial fit of the bodywork goes well.

Cheers, Paul.
