Talking Fantasy kit car collection

The article regarding the guy that had around 40 kit cars in this months Which Kit Car was interesting and is something I'd thought about in the past, ie what would be in your kit car collection given money and space.

I'm working on putting together a website about classic kitcars at the moment (I know a fair number of you have found it already even though its still only a work in progress ) so my interest goes back a fair way so here is my list....

Turner 803/950
Falcon Caribbean
Ginetta G15
Jago Geep
Marcos 1800
Mini Marcos
GTM Coupe
GTM Libra
Nova
Rochdale Olympic
Sylva Leader
Merlin TF
Marlin Berlinetta
Burlington Berretta
Vincent MPH
Madison Coupe
Dutton Pheaton
Pilgrim FT
Crendon
Carlton Carrera
Phantom GTR
Quantum 2+2
Chesil
SS100
Avante
GP Buggy
NG TC
Type 48 Spyder Corsa
Blackjack Zero
Arrow Daytona Spyder

Arhhhhh Bliss

It appears I have quite a leaning towards the older stuff and vintage style cars

John

Interesting list.

Of these I'd not really be interested in a Madison of either variety or Leader I don't reckon.
Although I like the SS100 in Jag form, not sure I'd want a replica.
Carlton Carrera never really did anything for me or the Merlin.
Nice to see a Burlington make the list, I built an Arrow although I have to admit the Berretta is a prettier car.
Funnily enough I'll pass on the G15...... but only because I'll have a G21 please!!
I'd have a GTM Coupe at the drop of a hat. Libra is great, but in style terms can't match the Coupe from most angles. In fact if anyone knows where Q606 MPU is I'll have it back please!!

Can I have a Riot and a T70 please??

Oooh... and a Montage!!!

T70, yes please, did contemplate that one but maybe a bit bling for me (hence leaving out the Ultima as well)

The Leader is a favourite of mine because it was the first kit I ever wanted (never did build one though). I think it still stands up today and when funds permit I will have one in the garage

The Montage has never done it for me though, especially a VW based one.

What would your list be Ferg

Interesting list MK! my list would be a lot shorter and some of your choice would make mine - so here goes
1. CHAD SS4
2. Phantom Vortex GTR
3. GTM Coupe
4. GTM Libra
5. GTM Spyder
6. Ginetta G31
7. Ginetta G30
8. Ginetta G15
9. Westfield SEight
10.Quantum H4
11.Rickman Ranger
12. K1 Attack
13. Middlebridge Scimitar(I know it not a kit car really but it's close!)

The only one of the above that I had actually built was a Rickman ranger back in 1988 which took six weeks to put together and I loved it and got a lot of attention even though it looks like a Suzuki SJ !! I also ran a Scimitar back in 95. I would love to buy the rights to the SS4 and have not only my favourite but sell them to others too!
