Default What a nice Ebay description .....

Given the friendly description, I just couldn't help but put this one on my Watched Items:

Love the optimism of the third questioner: does the engine run and does it have an mot? Duh...

Going to watch it just to see how pi$$ed off the seller gets.

Anyone remember the Boxster 'engine' coffee table on ebay a couple of years back?

It was basically a packing crate that had been given a Blue Peter style makeover with bog roll tubes and sticky-back plastic, which made it look almost exactly not like a Boxster engine.

The buyer was asking over a grand as I recall and got loads of stupid questions like whether it had a full service history and if it came from an 'S' spec model.

I'm sure there's a thread about it on the Sammio page somewhere.

Oh, and I wonder who Al is? I guess he can deliver it though.

My wife and I just creased up laughing at this and like children couldn't resist following. Why, oh why, is he so angry?

Looks like the "Rods 'n' Sods" crowd have smelt the blood in the water too.

He's got an interesting pile of crap for sale including a 240z wing and some Rover 75 seats. So I'm watching those as well

He hasn't answered any of my 47 questions, yet.

Why does he assume the guy asking the 2nd question is Scottish?

Yep, that's the Boxster coffee table -

Perhaps it would fit the Scimitar he's got for sale?

I wonder if I should ask if a wooden boxster engine would fit?

Oh yes

You will need these engine mounts:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wooden-Cor...item35d65cab04

and don't forget the "race" flywheel:

Those really made me chuckle, although I'm sure someone with a wood turning lathe could easily lighten that flywheel.

It's going to need topping up with this occasionally, not cheap, but the best never is -

Seems a shame to waste such a good engine to be used as a coffee table!

What a cracker, no wonder it sold so quickly.

The attention to detail is staggeringly.....absent!

Wonder what power it puts out?

I was enjoying that nearly as much as the coffee table auction.

I'd even got my wife to 'watch' the auction!
