Talking L48 DUE takes to the road!!

SVA done, reg number assigned, seats fitted on runners, plates stuck on with cable ties and double sided tape, and we have been for a legal drive.

OK screens would be good, 40 makes your eyes water, 50 makes your cheeks hurt and 60 makes you grin so hard your eyes water and cheeks hurt!!!

it's quick, oh boy is it quick!

cornering without power steering takes a bit of getting used to and the brake and accelerator are a little too close together but I can live with those!

Theres a few rattles to check out but hopefully she'll have a proper outing to show off at work later in the week...

Andy

Been out for a few blasts around a busy weekend minus screens - screens on last night but it's been raining since..... Don't think I can hold a brolly at 60mph...

Damn it's cold out there!! Screens on, Bumpers sorted - taken it to work 2 days running and it's freezing!!! Extra jumper, hat, gloves keeps those bits warm - face is falling off by the time I arrive though!

yep - dropping down a gear and giving it some makes the grin grow!

what gets me is that it makes agreat noise even below 4000rpm !!

Our has got a great resonance (which would be irritating in a tin top) around 2000rpm. If your just slowly going along and put your foot down in a higher gear and pull through there is makes a great noise! Only had it up to about 5k on the drive to SVA sounds great. Its amazingly docile at 60 mph in 5th very smooth all you can hear are the injectors ticking aways (typical M20!)
