We managed to get back with the car staying under 90 degrees but we didn't have as far to go.

Drove to work this morning and it hovered just under 90 - took some advice from someone at stoneleigh and wedged a couple of bits of paper under the rear bonnet edge - just to create a slight exit air gap - on the way home and it didn't pass 85.

so for the next run I've packed out the bonnet sides with spacers to get the same effect there - lets see what happens......

I tried the put some padding under the back of the bonnet to lift it slightly as the fan had turned on while driving the first bit. The further south we went the temp dropped a bit so it was OK from then on. It never when over 90.

Bonnet stayed clean

There were two kids on a bridge who thought it would be funny to try and spit into an open top car. I put my foot down and missed it. Shame you can't stop on the motorway and shout at the little buggers.
