Default Time to buy your Z3

I've been watching the Z3's go through ebay auctions this week. There are quite a few going for under £1k at the moment. Most are the smaller 1.8 / 1.9. The six pot cars are selling from around £1.5k so still cheap.

Time to buy yourself a Christmas present !

2.0 Six pot Z3 on ebay at the moment @ £400. Partly stripped, it would make a good base car. Day and a half to run.

If you are going to all the expense and hard work on a build it is well worth spending a little more and going for a 2.8/3.0.
Cheap ones are out there, just be patient and be prepared to travel for the right car.

Good advice there , the cheapest cars are the 4 cylinder cars but the six pot engines are far better. If you can find a 2.8 or 3.0 at the right price go for it!
The six cylinder engines are far more reliable , smoother and faster. The 1.9 engines have issues when they get older or higher miles.

Hi Lucky

If you email Richard at Nubodi
nubodi.autos@gmail.com
and ask for a BMW Z3 buyers guide he will send you one free. He wrote the article for Car Mechanics magazine and Kitcar.
It explains what to look for when buying, all the model choices and options, explains 'facelift' and 'widebody' and other terms, horsepower's, etc
More importantly what are the important things relevant to the donors of these kits.

It was invaluable when I bought mine.
