Default De Havilland/Cascu

Hi all,
I have seen the De Havilland pictures of the body and dash and they look every bit as good as the Cascu model and does anyone know how good the chassis is. Can anybody comment on this ie is the De Havilland like the Cascu, moulds taken from a real Dino, when is the kit available and at what cost at different levels of spec.
Regards Pierino

Smile de-haviland dino

Hi

The de-havilland dino uses the old deon/jhclassic's moulds. Although a couple of generations old now they originally came from a 206. See 206 /lotus Europa thread eslewhere on this site. They use a new design of chassis to take mg mgf running gear and have uprated it in many areas such as door hinges which on deon/jhc cars was cr*p!!
Jhclassic's used these moulds in highly modified form for his toyota mr2 body swap car he sells now.
The earlier classic replicas dino was also an off shoot from these moulds although they updated them too to be more original.
The cascu is really a recreation of the 246 being actually moulded from a real 246 dino.Infact real dino owners use parts of his chassis for own restorations and repairing accident damage etc. And it's also used for historic racing.
You pays your money and takes your choice.
