Cheers, they are the items I want. On the list of wants/bought (although they do seem expensive! @ £7.20 each), found some in the US (£3.75 for 2 plus £1.50 Postage). Total £21.67 for 10 including delivery.

Estimated Delivery 17th-27th March

"... nice to see what Mike comes up with.[/QUOTE]"

well for me i just hope he's still making basic kits and taking orders as i've done hours of work and bugger me if i will just do all this work to put a herald back together. from the other side of the planet i can't just 'get on the phone' - well, i actually have twice but just had to leave a message with some guy called andrew, with only sporadic apologies by e-stuff. I not only have to pay 2kGBP like you guys but about another 2 to 3k to get the stuff home. lucky bastards you are.

all the best guys, pics from me when i get my chassis (y9048) back from the blast/powdercoat guys next week.

Guys, think you're right on the "legality" of the GPS speedo, but check with the VOSA side. I'm sure the car won't pass an MOT with a GPS speedo.

Why not? they don't test the speedo on an MOT as far as I know... This was discussed on my build thread here, go down to Towed's lengthy answer

http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/foru...eedo#post42447

Now IVA that's another issue as it is checked. Anyway hope I'm rights as I've splashed my cash at Speedhut and have a GPS speedo on the way :-)

Tron, think that might be what I heard being discussed. We had a guy come in with a Cobra and he was talking to our guy that does the Lambo's, Ferrari's etc. and they were discussing GPS speedos. Yet again you could (will) be right. just didn't want all the effort to be wasted at the last hurdle. "Many a great idea ruined by bureaucracy"

Bonnet Clips and Pins

Hopefully this colour, will contrast with the Tan / Red-Brown Interior (when I get to that point).

After a nice long drive to Poole, final got meet Mike at Miglia, and collect my kit and extras, trial fitted the frame today, fitted spot-on.
The new rear extensions have now been welded in place, ready to be shot blasted tomorrow.
The chassis painted Land Rover Limestone ready to commence the build.
Thanks MikeMiglia for the advise.
Cheers for the pint, my round next time.

The Miglia waiting patiently ready for me to start work on it. Need to clean my workshop, and arrange (prioritise what I want to finish first).

Chassis off for shot blasting.

Back from shot blasting some horrors that the underseal was hiding, looks like a bit more welding.

Rocker cover blasted and primed (I need to job where I could see a quick result)

A few of my other projects, that need starting and finishing

I now have 12-13 Land Rovers (1959- 1990), a 1970 Range Rover Classic 2-door, 1989 RR Classic, 2 Triumph Vitesses, 1 Triumph Herald, 2 Jag XJ's plus a few other. Need to let some go, or I will need a bigger unit / yard to store them.

Is there a "Land Rover Anonymous" society you can turn to?

Jokes aside, "For the love of cars" did a nice job restoring a Series 1 on TV last week.

I'm struggling to cope with one project, so good luck with all of yours.

Cheers, Paul.

My wife told my to go and rent a double garage, as she said "our house is starting to look like Steptoes yard", so I went a got a garage, she was happy until I told her it was a old MOT testing station, then she realise I would buy more cars and Land Rovers.
