Default Ebay scammer alert

There is a seller on ebay at the moment listing kit cars amongst other things.
Seller is motor-1108 , he has over 1500 items listed, all too cheap to be true. A single photo along with contact details and instructions, I suggest you leave well alone !

I have reported those listings a number of times to Ebay but they don't seem to do anything?

It's getting more common - there's a seller who seems to have an unlimited supply of low-mileage rare classics at bargain prices, like immaculate Mk1 Lotus Cortinas for £4567 and fully restored Lotus Elan Sprints for £5678 which also just have a single photo and contact details. The ads crop up in batches of dozens at a time and stay on for a few days, but after a couple of hours you get the "oops, we've looked everywhere" notice telling you ebay can't find the item if you click on it. They then disappear for a while before the same items are relisted again a couple of weeks later.

All very suspicious and annoying.

You need to tread very carefully, I nearly bid on a car recently that turned out to be a Cat S write off. The seller assured me it wasn't but I did a check and it was !!

That's what happens every time - here one minute, gone the next, then they'll all reappear in about two weeks for a day or two, a bit like Mayflies.

Every week the same car photos at very random prices get posted in cars and classic cars. Most have a gmail address in the photo. You’d think they’d setup something to catch the checksum of the images and auto ban them. They’re quick obvious if you spend a decent amount of time on there, but easy for a new user to miss it.

Because he's into scams he's probably good at hacking computers. Been going on for months if not years , same pattern !

Not sure, but my guess would be that they'll ask for a holding deposit if you agree to purchase via email and then disappear with your money.

The 'buy it now' prices are just too low to be credible. £7k for a 1965 Lotus 7, really? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144307371...8AAOSwliNhoPdV

There are also Porsches, Bentleys and even a Ferrari 360 Modena, which also just happens to be for sale at £7k. I'll take two...

This is the company that is attached to this set of listings. I guess the guy might just take company details as well.

Yes, he seems to be the original seller before his account was compromised. The fraudulent adverts have been ended. From a bit of googling it seems that this has been going on for years.
