Is this a Tribute Build?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLPYusV9eDA
Video states it's a 250 SWB recreation , but to me it looks like an original car Its really hard to tell if it's original or a Tribute car , I'm guessing original from the placement of the petrol cap and also the amazing interior ,

It is a very accurate recreation, all Ferrari parts. Somewhere there is a great article about the car, but I don't have it readily available.

The DVLA's Mot database indicates that it's based on a Ferrari 330 GT. It looks like one of GTO engineering's products.
They will put an classic alloy body onto a contemporary Ferrari chassis so I suppose the principle of a body swap is the same as the Z3 option.
Fortunately Tribute will not relieve you of £500,000 for the privilege
Just found it's history on the Ferrari register http://www.330gt.com/detail/8127.html

There was discussion of this on ferrarichat a while back. It is not proportionally accurate, quite off actually. The car was for sale for several hundred thousand iirc and may still be.
This is a much more accurate replica 250swb built by gto engineering

These folks are building a fiberglass body/tube chassis to be sold as a kit or finished car. very accurate body

Just goes to show what some people will pay for a replica / recreation / reincarnation / evocation call it want you want but avoid the words " kit car" even though that is what these two cars above are.
The DNA California is a total bargain at £48k for a finished one. The Nubodi built Tribute cars are even better value again. We should get away from belittling our Z3 based cars and promote them as hand crafted recreations at a price that can be afforded by most people. Just my take on it anyway !!

And to prove the point, Caterham offered an anniversary special with traditional grille, cream painted steels, tiny 79bhp engine, turn-key only (definitely not a kit car) at a mere £27,995 and production sold out in seven days -

There will always be a demand if you're selling the right product to the right people at the right price. The problem us kit car enthusiasts have is the age old "kit car" stigma thanks to all the shoddy junk available from the 50's , 60's and 70's. I don't think the quality was there until the likes of Dax , Ultima etc etc came on the scene but by then the public had the crappy kit car image well and truly stuck in their heads.
