Thumbs up Remote fuel flap

Hi dino builders
Having almost finished one side of my dino,small garage can only work on one side at a time I've moved on to the passenger side. I've fitted the vauxhall cavalier fuel flap as per deons manual and to be honest I think it's a bit poor.Wanting to move to a remote operated flap so I can use the ferrari dino three lever arrangement I need a fuel flap with a built in spring mechanism that will pop open when the lever is pulled.Anyone any ideas? I've purchased a couple off ebay but so far nothing fits the bill.They are either to big for the space or the spring is to powerful to mount on the fibreglass body which could lead to stress cracks.

Hi Ian;

I haven´t get to that point at this stage so I can´t help you now. I´ll let you know if I do something about that, but one idea could be to use the opening mechanism and a fiberglass lid bonded to the hinge/mechanism somehow. The lid could be flat as per as the original...

cheers
