After repeated enquires regarding a convertible version of the SWB kit I have given in and started development.

I really like it. Should be a lot easier to build than the Coupe.
I don't think a 250 SWB convertible in this shape was ever built, although I could be wrong ?

Looking good and a great idea. Always seems a shame to convert a soft top into a hard top.
Would I be correct in thinking that this will be an easier build and because it won't need the metal roll cage a little cheaper as well?

As this shapes never built it makes it more appealing to me as I'm never that keen on a replica, sorry Tribute. This however is more original but with a nod too, OK, a bit more than a nod too.

I like it, and having just been away for a weekend in my z3, the extra boot space will be a godsend

I think this is a Phantom shape.

Yes, it will be an easier build without the roof, cage, side windows etc.

Pricewise, think Kobra kit plus door skins, grille and hinge framework in boot, sub £3k.

And only today, herself was complaining about the small size and inaccessibility of the boot on her cabrio (a Citroen DS3).

Red gel-coat please.

There's lots of California Spyders on Tinterweb but this is the only 250SWB I can find with a rag top.

Ah - and I was going to suggest this when seeing you at Stoneleigh! Now with a bit of photoshop/jugging can you do a hard top convertible? Serious hat on again - will the original Z3 hood fit, or will it need a new one?

Having seen the 7 day old incarnation at Stoneleigh today- this is one super looking car. A really solid presence, nicely designed and executed- it's a winner in my book- oh for the space...

Saw this yesterday, loved it. Really looked good, seemed to be getting a lot of attention as well.

Any more pics (from Stoneleigh) available? Quite fancy one as a daily driver.

I had a look at the 250SWB Spider at the show yesterday and agree that it's a very nice conversion, and a good looking car in its own right.
I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Just the one and it's only from the front, I'm afraid (red one in foreground is the convertible)-

The cars were a bit close to the wall to get any pics from behind.
