Default Luggage space for a trip to Le Mans 24hr

Hi, I am planning a trip to the Le Mans 24hr race in June and was wondering where to put the camping gear .

Has anyone built some form of luggage container under the front clamshell ?

I think Marlin mentioned this was possible but have not seen anything, I guess a bit like the 911 has .

Do not really want to stick a top box onto the roll cage :-)

cheers

Nick

Hi Nick,

You could buy some motorbike touring cylindrical waterproof bags and secure them to the cage (using the bag itself) and then make a couple of cuts and run some straps around the rear clam..

You would be amazed how much you can pack if you are careful..

It served me well for a trip to Stockholm some years ago..

Good Luck!
Dylan

I went to Le Mans a couple years ago as a passenger in a VX220. Epic time! what's the furthest anyone has taken their EXi so far in a single trip?

Well done. Build a reliable car and managing to for all that luggage in.

Would need a trailer to take all that in it.

Now where's that spare towbar I can fit to the Marlin....

It was good to do 1000 miles in a week I really got the feel for it. And as it was a bit different I had loads of people stopping by just for a chat. Great way to meet people of all nationalities.

Still need to sort the handling though. Mine seems to be very twitchy especially when the weight is moving around e.g straightening up after going around a corner or downhill after going over a hill on the French motorway (it was quite windy so not sure if this affected it)
