hi all dino lovers.
I did post this earlier but perhaps in the wrong thread.
Has anyone completed a dino replica and managed to pass IVA and get it on the road? (or the previous SVA). If so is there any tips to achieving that allusive mac certificate?

Hi Ian,
I haven't got a Dino replica but I have been through the SVA with my Shelsley T2, my best advice is to just get hold of the IVA manual, I'm sure there's a link to it somewhere on here, print it off if you can so you can tick things off, basically do your own IVA in your garage, run through each stage and make sure any sharp edges are dulled or meet the minimum radii and ensure looms and suchlike are fixed correctly. You may find at the end of it, youknow the manual better than the tester.

Best to treat it like a safety check rather than a hassle, some stuff sounds stupid but take those bits on the chin and I found if the build is a good one and you get a good tester then you should be fine.

Mine only failed on emissions, but that was something I couldn't test at home.
