Is there any technical reason not to run oil pipes up and over like this, or would they be better going under? I'm worried about the pipes getting damaged running under:
I ran my oil pipes under. The steering rack is lower than the oil pipes anyway so if anything is going to happen the steering rack will catch it first.. I am not sure if running the oil pipes "over" is a good idea - I guess there is the possibility of getting an air lock.
I have run mine underneath, same as Robin. I've had a good look and if they still look vulnerable when everything is up together then I may attach some sort of mesh guard between the steering rack mounting brackets. What do you think?

Alfie.
Sounds like an idea. I've got my coolant pipes down quite low too so I think they would benefit from a guard.
