Well I suppose you can adjust the wheelbase by altering the trailing arm length and also a small bit by the front wishbones, but that of course my affect the steering geometry (and who knows if that is correct or not!!)

Good luck

Mark

So had a first look at the chassis in the flesh and got a tape measure out.

Wheelbase length is 90" with an Ford English axle wheelbase width at about 57" so looks like we just need to narrow the chassis at the rear a little ...

I think a flat floor, and flat front and rear bulkheads should be straightforward.

Chassis is booked in the for the end of this month then down to Chris for a first fit ...

This project looks great Electron.

Do you know if Tribute offer the kit with headlights? I'd like to fit to my Tiger Avon chassis if possible, i'm thinking it could be made IVA friendly.

Ifanyone is intersted in the blue one on previous pages i.e Mistral mk2 body with side intakes then it's available. Due to a change in project and lack of space i need to shift the bodyshell. It's an original sheel, one piece type but quite rigis as extra stifferners were bonded. So if anyone is intereste dpleas e mail. I would love to keep but space is at a premium with a single garage.

Can't get the pictures of your Mistral shell trail fitted to chassis loaded up for some reason, but it was a suprisingly good fit wasn't it!

ooh! nice. an absolutely cracking fit by the looks of it

Lead me not into temptation......

But- I just met with a local moulder this evening, and he's agreed to a VERY fair price to mould the body of my project, so Mistral will have to wait for a future project.

My car will, of course, now be carrying some distinctly non period advetising as part of the deal! :0)

OOPS! looks like my bidding figure got me in trouble again.......
Just bought what I think is the prototype Yimkin Mk2 chassis which was built in '59 / '60 but not finished. Unlike the other Yimkins, it was built to take a fully enveloping body. Can you see where this is going? :-)
Once it arrives in Scotland I'll have to decide if it goes into storage or if I try to sell on the current clubmans project. A tough choice.
But one day it'll get a Mistral body I'm sure!

Hi Electron,

Do you have an update on fitting this body as I have finally decided that I will do the same to my locost chassis (just need to call/pop down to see Chris). I am keen to findout how and where you are securing the body to the chassis.

Thanks

Mathew
