Thanks Mike, here's something else...
It's taken a while a while to find the right styling and price... now, it isn't working but my next door neighbours brother restores Roberts Radios, so I am hoping he can work his magic on this. Maybe he can add an ipod connection! If not, I will just clean it.

Starting to get more free time... Hoorah! I'm fed up painting the house. I need to finish spraying the chassis before the cold weather comes. meanwhile i have started to strip gearbox and have more bits ready for shot-blasting. Like O' says i'm still restoring Vitesse.

Good to see you are making progress. Sadly my white vitesse is turning a shade of green whilst I am stuck in diy mode.

Wow .... what a change. Just looked back at your first post. That chassis was in a pretty sorry state. Looking good now.
Keep at it.

But don't forget you are doing a very good job of it.

None of the parts you have already finished will need to be touched again for years.

I think when you start bolting it all back together it will look very good, very quickly.

Good luck, Paul .

Gary,

just one small suggestion - paint around the edge of the disc as well - obviously not the braking surface - around the rim. This rusts up pretty quick and can spoil the 'just built' look!

Question about gearbox.
Haynes manual 3.16, this is the point I am at... But I can't tap anymore as the 1st gear touches inside of casing? So I cannot tilt the main shaft enough to take synchronise unit off 3.17. HELP!
