Talking She Lives.

After a bit of fire-breathing when using quick start, we fixed the fuel problem and now have a running 5exi !!! starts under her own power idles and rev's nicely. Will try and get the video online later of her first start.

Shame I will have to take the tank apart later, the tank has a leak and is on its back to Marlin for a fix next week.

Cool

Well done!!......a great feeling, and another milestone towards completion.

Had mine out today on a sunny drive to Oulton Park to watch the bike racing....and a spirited drive back.

Still smiling.

Always a great feeling when the engine roars into life for the first time. All the electroncs that needed to be worked out comes to life.

Yeah given I had to make my own wiring loom its rather satisfying, I can do a bit of tidying up on it now I know it works and make the connections perminent.

The only problems we had were fuel problems at first, eventually tracked it down to a blocked fuel input pipe onto the fuel rail (our guess is it was some solid petrol where it was stood for a year.

The other satifaction is that I now know the Cambelt change I did was successfull, was very nervous about that.
