So does this mean we will no longer have the original manufacturer's name or the word 'replica' include in make or model - which seemed like recent requirements?

Good to know Paul. Must try them again once I get an MOT certificate under my belt.

Warning- this is a cross-post from my Ian's Z300S Barchetta Build thread but no apologies because people seem to have a lot of trouble with this whereas mine was a breeze.

TBH, I think the detailed receipt from Chris swung it with wording like "Supply ... kit to fit BMW Z3" and "To fit the above to customer supplied BMW Z3 Reg. No. T210 YHO..."

That made it quite clear that it was only body panels that were involved without modification to chassis, drive train or suspension. My pics were taken with the wire wheels fitted.

IanA - The more feedback we get the better.

I actually quoted your new V5C "next door" as it is an issue for Sammio/Ribble/Miglia builders too.

Did your old V5C have a separate Make & Model?

As I did notice the new V5C just has a single name in the Make line.

The way I look at it, the more examples we have to follow the better.

Cheers, Paul.

The original V5C just had BMW on the D1 make line.
Nothing on the D2 Type line.
Z3 on the D3 Model line.

On the Additional notes or comments section of the V627/1 I wrote:

"Tribute Automotive is a supplier of replacement bodywork parts to fit BMW Z3 Roadster cars. They call this bodywork swapped car a Z300S Barchetta. It is not a kit car - only the external body panels are changed. It is not a replica of any existing car - it is meant to resemble a 1950's Italian sports car."
