I'd not come across those before. It's got an air of "Bristol" about it!

Says it's a 2L, so possibly a Vitesse donor? Although based on personal experiences, it could turn out to be anything

Default pRETTY SURE ITS A vITESSE

I remember from childhood that a nearish neighbour had a frequent visitor with one of these, pretty sure it is a 2 litre vitesse underneath. Must be a web site or google request somewhere to confirm this. Perhaps try a triumph Enthusiats club?????

Yep, can confirm that the Bond Equipe was based on a Vitesse chassis - mind you, this is not a kit car but a car that Bond built based on brand new Triumph mechanicals they got straight from the factory. They actually were sold through official Triumph dealers at the time.

Which all means that underneath should be a suitable chassis for a Sammio. The body does incorporate some Triumph elements - earlier models shared their doors with the Herald, but I'm not at all sure about the bulkhead.

All in all the Bond Equipes are well regarded in Triumph circles, being quite luxurious cars in their day.

http://bondcars.net/Equipe%202%20Litre.htm

here's a link to some more information on the car, and the Triumph Enthusiast in me says it is a bit of a rare car to convert into a Sammio.

Can't find any currently on the market, but it might be worthwhile checking the value of a restored example before contemplating cutting it up...

In my opinion they were poorly made and ugly anyway, get the angle grinder out and chuck the body away

I had one of those, a Mk2 Vitesse based rotoflex rear end, nice straight 6 but mine had a 2.5 in it. nice interior, if you could get passed the squareish body which was delaminating from the metal Vitesse floorpan.
Would have made a great donor
