Default LHD Donor

Me and the wife are looking at moving to Spain (sooner rather than later!)

My GTO is nearly finished now and I was going to take it with me however, Ive been following a few threads and just fancy building another tribute automotive kit.

I'm looking for a left hand drive Z3 or MX5 then that will deter-main the kit I build!

I cant seem to find any about! I also thought they would be cheaper to buy in the UK!

I'm away working at the min but back in 2 weeks with 4 weeks off to finish my GTO completely and then it will be going up for sale if anyone is interested...

I have a LHD car that Chris threatens to rebody anytime I park it near his workshop.

Do you fancy a 586bhp Maserat-ish?

Get a Z3M and really enjoy it.

I am always looking and if one comes up at the right price my current car maye get stripped and the body put on the Z3M leaving a lovely 2.8 donor naked and ready to go.

Unfortunately there aren't many Z3Ms around at a price/condition that is suitable.

Hi there,

If you are thinking of buying a LHD Z3 here is a link to the Autoscout24 website for Spain where you can see what typical Z3´s go for. Remember, if they have been registered in Spain since new (not German imports) they should be rust free.

http://automoviles.autoscout24.es/?a...ge=1&event=pag

If you are thinking of buying a car and building it there you could have many problems and headaches with the I.T.V. (Spanish MOT) as the can be very fussy. Your best bet would be to build the car in the UK and then import it there fully finished. It would have to be LHD as I think its no longer legal to import and register RHD cars anymore.

Also the law says that if you are a resident in Spain you can only use a car for 3 months on its original number plate, after that it will have to be imported and pay local road tax. I suppose if you are popping in and out of the country "you might get away with it"

I hope this info is useful to you.

By the way, your GTO looks stunning :-)
