Default Airbags

I plan to change my steering wheel for one without an airbag. There are lots of How To videos that show How To change the wheel without setting off the bag.

My thoughts are about the passenger airbag.

1) If I remove the drivers airbag and black out the warning light on the dash, will the passenger airbag still operate correctly?

2) If the passenger airbag remains in place do I still need to have the warning light on showing on the dashboard for MOT or similar?

3) Will the airbags function correctly given I have replaced the big heavy BMW bumpers with the light glass fibre front end (the big deformation bars behind the bumper are still there)?

I was looking at similar. It says it turns off the warning light and disables the airbag system. I am not clear whether this is the drivers side only that is disabled.
