Hi, My demonstrator Spyder has a MkII Vitesse running gear and engine and needed no bulges. It's close at the carb (Currently no air box but I'm looking at other solutions) but there is sufficient clearance.

I think it depends on the exact way you progress with your build and i don't think that anyone will be able to answer this apart from you when you get to that point.
I know that Andy (as he says above) and Gary before him never needed to mod the bonnet. But lots of us builders have found that we've needed to add bulges, scoops etc. in order to get the bonnet to sit as we've wanted it.

The picture you posted is of a big saloon 2ltr six and box standing on wood blocks, similar basic engine but the box is completely different to a Vitesse box.

Thanks Ben
I was wondering about that the overdrive unit is a Laycock J-Type, I bought it unseen, but it was fitted in a Vitesse, I didn't do my home work first, but at that point I was planning to use a Herald and implant the 2.0, but now I have a complete Vitesse instead. I have since been informed, it is possible from a TR6 or GT6, if you have any other info please email me, when I get back to the I will check the serial numbers, then re-sell it, as I may also putting the engine up for sale once I find out what it is originally from.
Regards
Mike
