Default Exhaust tip

Can anyone confirm..does the tip of the exhaust pipe need to be rolled steel for iva radius check?

Yes, unless it can't be touched with the tester's 100mm sphere.

If you have Marlin side exhausts, you can point the tips under the car for the test like I did - this takes the edge away from the tester, and has the added benifit of directing the sound away from the SPM on the noise test.

There are other workrounds - you can get slip on collars that attach with a jubilee clip that have rolled edges - I forget who used these to get through. Patrick made up a little bar that projected past the exhast tips.

I'm sure the chaps will chime in with other suggestions.

Yes, that was me!

I think they came from CBS. No jubilee clip, just a single stainless pop rivet held them in place. No issues with the nice SVA man.

I did the same as Peter and used a discreet pop rivet.

I bolted a rounded bar to the chassis so that the exhaust tips were outside the radius test zone. The thin black bar on the back just above the exhaust, it runs all the way from one side to the other:
