Question Stoneleigh 2010

Who is planning to go to Stoneleigh with their car this year, and on which day?

I am. As for which day, no idea yet. Whichever one is sunny!

I have permission....

May even bring the camper van and do the two days - but then I'll have to bring the co pilot as its difficult to drive two vehicles at once.

The jury is still out on the paint job though - I am still - ahem - negotiating that one...

Not me I'm afraid. My running club is putting on the North Dorset Villages marathon that weekend and I'm in charge of doing the results.

I will be there on the monday,(minus the car of course, again!). It would be good to see you guys and your cars, see what you've achieved, get some ideas and encouragement etc. We are making a weekend of it and going to silverstone on the sat/sunday for FIA supercars.

Me too, so long as my painter is finished and the weather at weekends in April is good enough for me to get the car back together in one piece.
I'm just back from a holiday so I need to 'phone the guy to see how he's getting on.....

I've heard a rumour that the MOC will be awarding the Goldfish award this year!

There is also the London-Brighton run at the beginning of June. Anyone planning to sign up this year?

London to Brighton run sounds interesting although I don't suppose Sterling Moss will be starting it this year! Do you know how far in advance that you have to "sign up"?

Ooo err. Weather not looking good for the weekend:

However, in the north and east, rather cold to cold with a chilly north or northwesterly wind, and also seeing a return to overnight frosts and a risk of wintry showers, especially over the hills. From Bank Holiday Monday onwards, it should start to become drier and brighter for southern parts of the U.K., but remaining more unsettled further north with occasional rain. Temperatures should return to near normal for most, or rather warm in the south later in the week. The following weekend may see a return to cooler and more unsettled conditions from the east.

I'm confused (easily done, I know).

A lot of chaps on the MOC forums are saying that they're off to Stoneliegh on Saturday... But the promo material I've seen for it only states it's open Sunday and Monday.

Is Saturday a special setting up day / not open to the general public? Or is the promo wrong?

Weather doesn't look too bad, but it is changing every hour. Dad & I will be there again this year with his Sportster, as mine isn't yet finished, however that depends on the weather aswell.

Saturday is an arrive & set up day for trade & clubs etc so no general public.

Sunday looks like it will be wet most of the time:

http://uk.weather.com/weather/dailyD...h-CV8?dayNum=2

Monday looking more favourable:

http://uk.weather.com/weather/dailyD...h-CV8?dayNum=3

Lets hope that their data is not provided by Meteo France, who couldn't predict a rain storm if they tried.
